Hey! I'm Dan
I’m not just a SketchUp user—I’m a SketchUp expert.
For over 15 years, I’ve worked full-time as a SketchUp trainer, consultant, and educator, helping architects, designers, and contractors master 3D modeling and streamline their workflows. This isn’t a side hustle or a casual passion project—it’s my career and my expertise.
I don’t create SketchUp tutorials as a hobby. I teach SketchUp at the highest level, working with professionals and industry leaders to help them design more efficiently, create better presentations, and implement real-world workflows.
In 2007, I launched SketchUp Trainer to fill a critical gap: bridging the knowledge divide between SketchUp’s powerful capabilities and how professionals actually use it in their work.

After earning my Architecture degree from UNLV, I began my career at Google as a SketchUp Trainer, helping professionals integrate SketchUp into their workflows.

Hey! I'm Amanda
While Dan is the face of SketchUpTrainer and leads all the teaching, I’m the one behind the scenes keeping everything running smoothly.
In June 2024, I took a leap and stepped away from a decade-long career in federal program and grants management to support our growing business. I now lead the operational side of SketchUpTrainer.com—from managing memberships and customer support to optimizing internal systems and strategy—ensuring every part of the experience is clear, efficient, and supportive.
With a strong background in building and managing large-scale programs, I bring structure, accountability, and long-term thinking to our team. SketchUpTrainer may be a small business, but it’s built with the same professionalism, care, and attention to detail I’ve applied throughout my career. Helping shape a learning environment that truly works—for real people doing real work—is something I’m proud to be part of.
